2011 September Newsletter 2011 Baccalaureate Sunday On June 26, 2011 we celebrated the scholarly accomplishments of our members, the parents and family who support them, and those providing financial assistance to students in need. Pastor Rey reminded us, when speaking of our future plans, always qualify them with "God willing"; and when accepting congratulations for our accomplishments, always express the fact that "it was only made possible by the grace of God". Congratulations to all the graduates! Filipino American Evangelical United Church of Christ

There was a wonderful slide show presentation as a tribute to all our
mothers, a touching guest sermon by Mrs. Carmen Ranches, great food provided by the men's fellowship, and an entertaining kid's program. Thanks to everyone for all their hard work, preparation, and gifts in honor of our mothers!

for our CHURCH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION!! Chairman's 2009 End of Year Message Hello everyone, As another year draws to a close and the holidays are approaching, it is once again a good time to pause and reflect on where we’ve been and what lies ahead.... (more) 2009 - New Member Acceptance Day!
FAEUCC is proud to welcome all the new members of our congregation!
October 29th, 2009 was Make a Difference Day. This year our celebration took on even more significance, given the tragedy unfolding in the Philippines with the devastating typhoons. Through the guidance of the FAEUCC Mission Committee, we were able to ship 10
balikbayan boxes of goods and dedicate our entire 2009 mission fund to the relief efforts.
In conjunction with the relief effort and Make a Difference Day, the FAEUCC children participated in the "Run to Fight Hunger", a fundraiser for Feed the Children in the Philippines. The children collected pledges and ran laps for a great cause. They also shared their talents and performed after service.
Thanks to the Mission Committee for educating us, coordinating efforts, staging goods, and inspiring us to do all we can for the victims of the typhoons. The following presentation demonstrates the magnitude of the calamity and our work so far to Make a Difference:
Family Camp 2009 Thank you to everyone who attended Family Camp 2009! Camp was fun and enlightening. We had a wonderful time! The weekend was a culmination of many, many hours of planning - to everyone who played a role, a job well done! Special thanks to everyone who contributed food and participated in ways unrecognized.
Throughout the weekend, we were extremely blessed to receive a powerful message from our guest speaker, Pastor Chito Tomada. Through the story of Nehemiah, he taught us how to discover our spiritual gifts and passions, identify our abilities, explore our personalities, and embrace our experiences - so that we may shepherd one another in our journey of faith. We were also treated to an incredibly informative lecture by Dr. Ed Choa entitled "New Testament Geography: Greece and Turkey". Pastor Ed traveled to numerous cities identified in the Book of Acts and Revelations. He compiled the history, his photographs, discoveries, and Biblical reference into an amazing presentation.
For a complete list of camp lectures, readings, and activities, please see the 2009 Family Camp Manual attached at the bottom of this page.
Smile if you can't wait until next year!
